Whales HC

Whales HC (Hockey Club) is a Team inducted into The Beer League Hockey Hall of Fame in 2019. Whales HC plays in the Adult Safe Hockey League (ASHL) and is currently based at Etobicoke Ice Sports, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, playing in the 30+ Division.

The team was previously located at the ASHL Oakville Rink. Originally the team was called Plain & Simple and was located at Iceland Mississauga, and won one Championship in the Mens Division before moving into the ASHL. Whales HC was established in 2004 when they joined the ASHL. The Whales HC has 3 Divisional titles and 2 Facility Championships, and were Eastern Regional Finalists in 2018. To pave its way into the BLHHOF along with its championships, the Whales HC have created a lifestyle and family like environment for its current and former players. The Whales HC have their own Hall of Fame, retired numbers and complete set of hardware that is handed out annually. While mainly a league team the Whales HC have also traveled for multiple tournaments, including Brassard, Quebec where they won Third Place in 2019. The Division and inebriation levels of said Tournament shall remain on the Bus that got them around. The Whales HC were the first team inducted in The Team Category of The BLHHOF, and have set the bar for what is required as a standard for a team as a whole to be enshrined in the Beer League Hockey Hall of Fame
